New media, new challenges: Best practices in the digital age

December 7, 2016 at 9.00 Faculty of Journalism at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in collaboration with the E.W Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University (U.S) and KIMEP are planned to hold an international online conference on the topic: "New media, new challenges: Best practices in the digital age", dedicated to 25th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan and support of the communication platform of G-global.

The conference is expected to discuss problematic issues of development of new media in Republic of Kazakhstan, the best practice of the use of digital technologies in E.W Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University (U.S) and the best recommendations for improving how to use the new information technologies in modern journalism education.

The online conference, organized by Karlyga Myssayeva, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Journalism at al-Farabi KazNU, currently Visiting Scholar of Fulbright program at E.W Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University (U.S).

The participants of the conference - representatives of domestic higher educational institutions and professors leading foreign universities.

The conference is expected to address a new challenges of the memorandum of understanding between the participants of the conference.
