Relevance:

Three directions of technology development: information technology, nanotechnology and biotechnology are key for the innovative development of the modern economy. This direction gains particular actuality due to the fact that natural energy resources in the foreseeable future will be exhausted, and that innovative biotechnology can create so-called bioeconomy. Biotechnology is one of the fastest growing high technology. The peculiarity of biotechnology, in addition to high economic potential, is its powerful effect on the quality of life through new drugs, new medical bionanotechnology, new food products and environmental protection. The biotechnology has a significant role in a national security, referring to the vital role of pharmaceuticals (vaccines, diagnostic, therapeutic antimicrobials, insulin, etc.), having the risk of bioterrorism and application of microbiological weapons, implementation of the country's food self-sufficiency for the basic food products.  

 

Goals:

The main aim of research was to develop targeted recommendations for the development of science and technology in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the period up to 2030 based on the implementation of analytical and expert works.
